Description
Deliciously soft and sweet Maple Bars topped with a glossy maple glaze, perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup pure maple syrup
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 1/4 cup maple syrup (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix the butter and sugar until creamy and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the maple syrup.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan and tap to remove air bubbles.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let it cool.
- For the glaze, whisk together the powdered sugar and maple syrup until smooth and drizzle over the cooled bars.
- Let the glaze set before cutting into squares. Enjoy!
Notes
Room temperature ingredients work best for a smooth batter. Avoid overmixing to keep the texture tender.
